In April 2022, the total number of recoveries reached 4,018,421 and Malaysia moved on to the endemic phase… From early May 2022: people were able to enter public premises regardless of their vaccination status (except those who have tested positive for COVID-19 and unvaccinated travelers undergoing quarantine.) International borders were reopened (pre-flight and on-arrival testing requirements were removed for fully vaccinated travelers and for those who had just recovered) and the face mask mandate removed for outdoor spaces except for crowded areas, indoor spaces, and on public transport.

It’s been two years since Malaysia started taking measures against the Pandemic. By the end of 2021, over 70% of the Malaysian population (94% of adults) has been vaccinated against COVID-19. Movement restrictions in Malaysia have ended. Next month, international borders will be reopened and masks no longer mandated in outdoor spaces (rule still applies for indoor and crowded spaces.)
