This tournament is (open to staff & students of HELP University College. An arbiter will be present, and there will be prizes, and the purpose is to identify the best Chess players on campus. The winners of the tournament will be shortlisted for weekly training as the HELP Chess Team.

In anticipation of the upcoming HELP Closed Chess Tournament (open to staff & students of HELP University College,) HIGS presents a Chess workshop, to be conducted by Aw, Wai Onn, our very own Malaysian Chess Pro. The workshop is suitable for beginners and experts alike.

It’ll be held on a Friday, 13:00 ~ 17:00 @Wisma HELP, DSA. Everyone’s invited; from beginners to seasoned players, from newbs to the pros… above all, it’s a chance to share.

Our main weekly gaming sessions will be held every Thursday, 15:00-17:00! For this first month, we’ll be hosting them at Wisma HELP’s DSA. Everyone’s invited! Let’s meet, discussion events, playing board/card games, etc. There’s space for those with laptops and/or consoles…
IF response is great enough, we’ll open gaming sessions at the afore mentioned times at BOTH Main Block’s DSA and Wisma HELP’s DSA; we’ve had that on the drawing board some time.

Convention time again! After Origins in July, be prepared for Gen Con. Bigger, better, bigger…..and er, better! Gencon which takes place in Indiana began yesterday and you can already see amazing setups of various game company booths.
Also, a note of apology to all visitors for a long period of no new posts; we’ve been very busy lately demoing Puerto Rico. It truly is a masterpiece and we can see why it’s #1 on BGG till today. But in the meanwhile check out Gen Con at Gamefest. Don’t wait for me!
